Hey boys and girls,

I know I know, I haven't posted in a while but here I am trying to get on your good side again. This time the post will be different and super motivational as you may have guessed from the title.

I am sure I am not the only one who has these moments (or even days and weeks) that I feel that EVERYTHING is wrong, I am a failure, I am bad at everything, nothing I do is important blah blah blah. Well, if at least one of these is you sometimes, this post is for you too.Let's start with some bullet points and we'll analyse them shortly:

  • Wake up early (or earlier)
  • Make a plan the night before for the next day
  • Listen to music that makes you dance
  • Declutter (!!)
  • Write down a list of positive things
  • Put on something nice
  • Cook your favourite meal
  • Make a delicious smoothie
  • Read/listen to a motivational book/audiobook/video
  • Celebrate your small wins
  • Beauty time
  • Meet/speak with friends/family

Now, let's look at them one by one:

wake up early

 1) Wake up early

Everyone mentions that and it makes total sense. Everytime you wake up late you want to stay even longer in bed and you end up getting out of bed upset. So you don't feel motivated or happy. So start waking up half an hour earlier for a week, and the next week an hour earlier. Sleeping early helps. Also the following step helps for that too.

2) Make a plan the night before for the next day

I can't tell you how many times I said the day before "Oh, tomorrow I need to tidy, do laundry, design 3 T-shirts, buy groceries" and the next day I ended up procrastinating and actually watching Netflix for 4 hours instead of an episode after lunch, having a long nap, and having time to do only 1 design after all. Why? Because let's face it, most of us are procrastinating queens and kings, right? Making a written list helps so much. So get one of these "To do lists" or download one of these apps on your phone if you are more of a digital geek. I personally write down lists

listening to music

3) Listen to music that makes you dance

A few of my favourite lists/music on Spotify:

Mint Playlist

This is: DNCE

This is: Panic! At the disco

This is: Michael Jackson

Massive Dance hits

This is: Chris Brown

So, this is something I do ALL day everyday. I listen to music that cheers me up. For you it may be rock or country music or super pop hits (I listen to pop hits too). For me is mostly these playlists or similar ones. I listen to these when I clean, design, edit the website, write blog posts like this and whenever I just want to feel better. What music do you listen to when you want to feel better? Let me know in the comments below and let's see if we have similar taste.

4) Declutter (!!)

I know you must think I am crazy! But think about it: Everytime your space is clean, tidy and with a few nice decor pieces you feel happier. You have a better mood to do work or study or anything really. I know this happens to me allthough usually throughout the week I can't lie, my room is kind of a mess because I am running up and down. But there's always hope that I can keep clutter-free and tidy right?

5) Write a list of positive things

Yes, that's right. When we are in need of motivation, we tend to think that nothing we already have/do is good enough. That we are not good enough. So take a notepad and a pen, and write down all the things that are good and positive. About you, about your life, your job, your house. And don't forget your achievements (even the fact that you got out of bed this morning although you felt like s***). Trust me, when you finish and read the list, you will see that not everything is bad.

6) Put on something nice

I know what you're gonna say: "But I am staying home". Ok so what? You deserve to feel nice and if this way helps you then you should do it. I didn't say to put on your fanciest dress or wear a suit. You can feel amazing and beautiful (or handsome if you're a guy) by just wearing a nice pair of comfy jeans and a nice T-shirt like this (for guys) and this (for girls). I mean it could be any other design from our catalogue. As long as it makes you feel unique. I am picking T-shirts from our brand because they are. All hand painted to order, directly on the fabric. So each one of us gets what they deserve. A LOT.

meal prep cooking
7) Cook your favourite meal

What is your favourite meal? Well, grab your knives and spatulas and go straight to the kitchen. Especially if you have some cooking skills this will definitely make you feel better. After all, it will be your masterpiece, so add it to the list with positives you wrote earlier.

8) Make a delicious smoothie

Especially with your breakfast, this will boost your day like crazy. I will admit it, I am not the most healthy lifestyle person in the world. But whenever I have time and ingredients at home, a smoothie is a go to. For example my favourite one is with apple, carrot, banana, apricot, milk and sometimes I add some granola. If you want to make the taste a bit sweeter, add some honey. Voila!!

9) Read/listen to a motivational book/audiobook/video

Many Youtubers/bloggers help me with that like Lavendaire, Rachel Aust, Jenny Mustard, Kalyn Nicholson. I will leave a few videos of them for you to check out:

celebrate the small wins

10) Celebrate your small wins

Do you remember in no.5 that we wrote down small wins/achievements? Well celebrate them. Act like they are a huge deal, because they are. You did it. YOU DID IT!!!

Beauty routine
11) Beauty time

Ok this applies more to women I guess but I may be wrong. From my experience and what I've learnt so far from others, taking care of ourselves and spending a little "ME" time helps a lot with our confidence and boosts our mood. So, it doesn't matter if you're not getting out of the house today. Go have a nice warm bath, use some salts and candles, put some relaxing music and R E L A X. It will make you feel like you're dreaming and travelling at the same time. Feel free to put on body lotions, oils, creams, make up and whatever will make you HAPPY!

friends
12) Meet/speak with friends/family

Finally, something that everyone of us is doing without reading any steps. Talk to your beloved ones. They love you, they know how important you are and what you are capable of. So call/meet them and they will remind you.

That was it for today guys. I hope you liked this blog post. I definitely enjoyed it.
See you soon.
